Are you interested in building humanoid robots like those?

The Intelligent Robotics class this winter will teach you about industrial and intelligent robotics. Each student will build a robot or a component of a robot.

In addition to the robotics theory, everybody completing this class will learn the following practical skills:
1. Programming Artificial Intelligence complex programs, such as English conversation with a robot, in LISP. Heavy on recursion, rule-based behaviors and object oriented AI programming.
2. Designing a small walking robot, either from scratch or using advanced kits such as Robix or Lynxmotion.
3. Control of servo motors and interfacing to a personal computer.
4. Writing programs that reason, plan and solve problems.
5. Designing your own talking head similar to your face. Amaze your family.
6. Creating your own WWW page.
7. Creating PowerPoint presentation using many Office tools.
8. Writing a technical paper and submitting to a conference or journal.
