UNST/ECE Assistant Professor Search

 


Portland State University invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Electrical & Computer Engineering, commencing fall 2008. This will be a shared position between ECE and PSU's award winning general education program, University Studies, with ECE being the home department. In addition to strong research interest, the successful candidate will possess a commitment to general education, an interest in interdisciplinary work, the ability to function as part of a team, and demonstrated excellence as a researcher and as a teacher. An earned doctorate with a proven research record in electrical or computer engineering is required, as demonstrated by archival publications. A high priority is placed on the potential for collaboration with existing research areas and for building a sustainable, funded research program. Areas of interest include computer architecture, sustainability, low-power, alternative energy resources and nano/bio technologies.
