Information: Computational Intelligence

The computational intelligence track is research oriented. Consequently, masters students who wish to choose this area of study are expected to apply to the M.S. degree program instead of the M.Eng. degree program.

Ph.D. applicants should either already hold a masters degree or have completed a substantial number of ECE graduate credits. Students who have completed little or no graduate coursework should apply to the M.S. degree program.

M.S. students are expected to publish a peer-reviewed paper (either a conference or journal paper is okay). The department requires all Ph.D. students to have a peer-reviewed journal publication prior to graduation.

All graduate students are asked to select an appropriate faculty advisor when they apply. Students choosing the computational intelligence track should select Professor Greenwood (for evolutionary computation), Professor Lendaris (for neural networks) or Professor Perkowski (for robotics) as their advisor.
